Halloween Fun 2009

It seems like I've not updated our blog in such a long time. Summer came and went and the holidays are quickly approaching. We were busy during the month of October, with a visit to Disnelyand, apple and pumpkin picking and a visit from Nana and Papa for Halloween. Here are some pics. from our adventures.

4th of July 2009

So I'm trying to catch up on my blogging from our summer vacation. Noah and I spent 2 months in San Jose with my Mom and Dad. Here are a few pics from our 4th of July. We spent the holiday with our extended family at The Rocha Casa. Great way to celebrate our country's birthday, lots of laughs and great company.

Hanging out at Creekside Cabana

Spent a few days at Creekside Cabana with our cousins and Aunts. Noah loved playing in the sand and swimming with his cousins. It was nice to enjoy some adult conversation while the kids played or should I say adult beverages. Hope we can do it again next summer.

Thomas The Train 7/31/09

Noah went to see Thomas up in the Santa Cruz mountains with his Nana, Nina and Mommy. It was beautiful day for a train ride, we have been really lucky with the weather during out long visit. Noah had a blast riding the train, hopefully we will get to do this again when he is older.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Noah visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium on July 10th with his Nana, Nina and Mommy. Noah had a wonderful time, he really wanted to touch one of the Ray's but they hung out far out of reach. Noah was mezmorized by all the fish and sea life. Since Noah is a lover of the water it is no wonder he is fascinated by the sea creatures he saw.

Noah's Swim Lessons Summer 2009

Noah took swim lessons for the 1st time this summer. We knew Noah would do fine since he loves the water. Noah did great and graduated from a Cuttle Fish to a Clown Fish. Of course during Noah's lessons he did better with his instructor than with me, he's a big show off. Noah loves to put his head under the water and blow bubbles. Noah spent most of his summer swimming and is doing great. I'm pretty sure he will be swimming on his own by next summer.

What We've Been Up To

Hello!!!

It seems like it has been forever since I last posted. Once the warmer months hit we get busy busy busy. I'm currently taking my 2nd to last class to clear my teaching credential, so that takes all of my free time up. I will be thrilled to be done come this Fall. Thankfully John and Noah are very supportive and helpful. We just returned from 4 relaxing days at The Westin Villas in Rancho Mirage, CA (Palm Springs). It was a fabulous visit, we spent our days exploring the area, relaxing at the pool and evenings getting out to dinner. We just fell in love with the Palm Springs area, I could move there in a minute. Even though we don't golf we enjoyed the laid back life style of the community. Noah had a blast swimming, going down the water slide with both John and I and flirting with the older ladies who just couldn't believe how cute and brave he was around the pool. Noah was 7 months old the first time he splashed around in a pool and has loved it ever since. Noah could have floated around the pool all day long if we would have let him. Of course he had to do this on his own too, he wanted no part of John or I holding on to him. We stayed close behind as he enjoyed socializing with who ever would chat with him. Sadly we had to return home, but plan to make this an annual trip. On our way home we stopped by Temecula, CA to have lunch with our good friends The Caveney's. Amy and I have been friends since our dance days at Alyce Porter and NKOTB concert. It was so great to see Amy and Logan, sadly Chris was not able to join us. Logan and Noah had a great time together and I think will be great friends as they grow through the years. It was great seeing our friends and hope to see them again very soon. Noah and I are now preparing for a visit home for some parties and Nana time. Check back soon to read and see about our summer adventures.
