This past weekend my parents came down for the long holiday weekend to see Noah and our course John and I. After living in Ridgecrest for almost 3 years we still have not visited Death Valley, so we finally did this weekend. Since it's as hot as hell there during the summer time (not sure how hot hell is but 130 plus degrees is dam hot) we decided to take a trip when the temperatures were mild. On our trip we were able to visit Scotty's Castle, who would have thought some millionaires from Chicago would have built a castle out in the middle of the desert. This guy must have liked the two extremes, bitter cold and hotter than hot temps. We also went to a Ghost Town about 30 miles outside of Death Valley, saw no ghost but did get to see a house made out of beer bottles by the town drunk. We didn't get to see everything in Death Valley, if you have ever traveled with a toddler you see what you can see and move on. I think we may go back to see a few more sites, but I'm sure that won't be until next winter.

My son the wild toddler
Here are few snap shoots of Noah from this week. As you can see he was on his way to HOOTERS and wants all of his friends to follow him. Noah's fun loving personality is really showing it's head this week. Sometimes I can't believe the faces he makes or the crazy things he is caught doing. These days it is climbing anything and everything, I really have to watch him since we have lots of tile in our home. I'm very positive that God blessed me with a son to give me patience.

Noah's 2nd Cold
So Noah had his 2nd cold all last week. Of course he waits until we get home to get sick on me. Luckily his cold didn't bother him too much and his sleep was not interrupted, Yes THANK YOU GOD. I can't wait until Noah learns to blow his nose, because if you have ever been around a sick stuffy nosed toddler you know what I mean. Can we say snot everywhere, what a sticky mess. Luckily Noah is all better now and I can finally wipe down all my glass and mirror surfaces, which he liked to decorate with you know what. Here are a couple of pics. of Noah, as you can see his cold didn't stop him from having a good time.

Happy New Years 2009
We spent New Year's Eve at my parents house with just a low key night of eating and baking. After Noah went to sleep for the night John and I went to see a high school friend for a few hours. Since we don't get out with out Noah back home we try to take advantage when we come to San Jose. Of course Nana and Papa love spending time with their Peanut. John and I also for the first time in 15 months spent a night away from Noah and treated ourselves to a stay at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose during our Christmas visit. It was so nice to get away and have a nice dinner but we missed our little guy. It was nice but couldn't wait to see him the next day. Here are a few pics of our New Year's Baby, Noah using a chair to climb up to get a cookie. The bouncy horse Noah is sitting on was mine when I was little, Papa cleaned it up and it looks like new.
Noah at San Jose's Children's Discovery Museum
Noah started this day off with his 15 month Dr. Appointment, and what a brave little guy he was. Noah received 3 shots, let out a small cry and then put a brave face on. After this and a clean bill of health we took Noah to The Children's Discovery Museum. Noah had a great time, loved anything that had cars and we had to drag him away from the top with mirrors in the Alice In Wonderland Exhibit. I really think Noah just enjoyed being around all the other kids and climbing on new things and making friends. (Noah still see his Dr. in San Jose Dr. Contini so we make his appointments when we are in town, this event took place on Dec. 30th)
